With a squad supposedley weaket han last years, the Burnham lads have started on fire and sit pretty at the top of the table.

 

With the money that has pumped into that club the past few years, its about time they had some league success!

 

Gary Ansell has been banging in the goals and covering himself in glory however its a team thing so the new Skipper and Defensive Lynch-pin (Not that Im biased Hi Trenks, Hi Pig) are also just as important!

 

Also, with the departure of the pocket Kosovan, it goes to show how the introduction of a half decent keeper can improve a side massivley!

Brentwood must be favourites with Barking, `Side, Burnham challenging!

OK, Cliche time.... It's a marathon not a sprint, the tortoise and the hare...Blah blah blah.

 

People may talk about the quality of the opposition, (although I suspect Manor were not as bad as the score suggests. They looked pretty decent in a friendly v Tilbury a few weeks ago). But you can only play what's in front of you (another cliche).

 

However, when all's said and done it's a cracking start to a new campaign and getting off to a flyer will give the whole club a lift. The test will be to see how Ramblers react to their first setback. So far so good!!!
