Hertford Town V Kentish Town

Recommended Posts

Potters Bar Town - You had to see the Referee in action to appreciate how over zealous he was, a cross between Clive 'the book' Thomas and Graham Poll. The players concerned don't have five bookings as yet but it is still one booking nearer to that mark that wasn't necessary and with our never say die style of play where we close down every ball and cover every blade of grass we are bound to pick up the odd unlucky caution which could possibly cost us dear towards the end of the campaign against 'the mighty' Brimsdown Rovers or Stony Stratford. I still plan to ring the Herts FA tomorrow to see what their take is and say that I wasn't anticipating a Referee who thought he was in the San Siro or Bernabau rather than Hertingfordbury Park.

Rhodes, as a much more experienced football administrator than you, I would strongly advise against going to the Herts FA about this. You have no solid case and you will end up giving Kentish Town a reputation as moaning troublemakers which won't help you if you ever need to go there with a genuine case.

There seems to be an echo in the Forum, I thought about resurrecting Gavin's thread 'Board Playing Up'. I need to ring the Herts FA anyway about another matter, point taken and I will just get their take on the topic of bookings in pre season friendlies, afterall we didn't even have numbers on our shirts and there were no team sheets.

All very amusing I have to say, in the mean time another day goes by with Kentish Town sitting at the summit of Division 1 looking down on those below, a league table never lies!

You could groundshare with all 21 other clubs, couldn't you? Play two away games at each ground?

HTFCew - Well doesn't that just add to the excitement and the mystique of Kentish Town, I think that's what makes us a little unique as I gather we are widely and sympathetically known as the bedouins of non league football particularly since Haringey Borough and Potters Bar Town both unceremoniously showed us the door in the fashion they did virtually the day before the league's deadline for the following season. Take this thread for example of a 'run of the mill' pre season friendly between us on 15 August, it is still going strong nearly two months later with almost 800 hits, doesn't that tell you something.

Potters Bar Town - I don't believe in starting new threads just for the sake of it, count them all and see how many on our Forum were originated by me.

Paula - That's for me to know and you to find out love, why not come to a game sometime and sample the unique Kentish Town brand, I'll introduce you to the players but don't wear a skirt will you.

So why have you just started a new thread on Tommy Lambourne being at Ruislip Manor when our friends from that club have already been discussing the matter with you on an existing thread?

Paula - Well that would be preferable but it depends on how you decide to travel up, if you drive you can just put a mack or coat over you when you get out of the car, there's a plush physio's room in the Hendon home dressing room as Rak and OneClub will varify with a comfy looking treatment couch. Is that excitement enough for you.
