I can understand why you don't want to say any more, it must be hard to support Millwall with that thug in the team, but if you feel so strongly about violence you could have sent your season ticket back in protest.

I apologise if this thread is starting to bore Rebels fans but it's something I feel quite strongly about. How am I avoiding the issue 'old hack'? Yes I have spoken up for Hakki because I genuinely believe that he is remorseful for what he has done, will accept his punishment and will not repeat his actions. If I am wrong and he does it again in the future then my view is similar to Constable's and he should have the book thrown at him.

 

There's little point in me trying to deflect my support of Veli as you suggest because my views are fairly clear and well documented. I will continue to argue though that the issue regarding Wise is hugely relevant. Wise has been persistently involved with crimes of a violent nature (attacking a taxi driver, breaking a players jaw etc.) and shows no remorse at all. Quite the opposite in fact as he's now suing a club already in administration for two million pounds because he thinks that THEY are in the wrong.

 

You also suggest that Constable has not supported Wise although if you pay your money at the turnstiles and cheer when he scores then that's as good as accepting the situation. As Roger Rebel says, why not send back your season ticket if violent crime is so abhorrent? I've supported Veli openly on here and Constable has supported Wise by watching him play in a Millwall shirt. I don't accept that the two are that different although one is certainly easier to hide behind. Unless he tells us we will never know whether Constable was as vociferous to Millwall Football Club against Wise as he is against Veli Hakki on this forum.

 

Everyone is entitled to their differing opinions and I fully accept that so maybe let's leave it at that. Have a good Christmas.
