fleetastic last night, i knew debolla was good but not that good.

 

his free kicks are out of this world and his overall play was top bombing.

 

take it we have signed mike mckenna as he played last night.

 

final 20 minutes apart from 4 or 5 everyone was under 23 the future looks good.

Woopy woo woo that was a super game! Daish has done well with the new signings. The whole team looks so far to have improved passing and tackling

 

Thank god for Debolla! We were hopeless at scoring from free kicks last season.

 

Luke Moore is looking more like a footballer and less like a sixth former this season too.

 

And hopefully, the new fans that came yesterday will be wanting to come back on Saturday because that was indeed a very enjoyable match to watch

Salient point though, I thought he looked much more comfortable on the ball than at times last season.

Yes.......vintage Gerry & The Pacemakers played over the latest in sound system technology, at random.....brilliant !

 

It reminded me of trying to get Radio Caroline on a small transistor radio in the late sixties !!

Now now AFF.......don't bemoan people's optimism or else we'll get all the miserable old b*stards back on the forum.

 

It was a very good performance on Tuesday, well worth being cheerful about. Even Mr CG was impressed....and that doesn't happen often.

 

Does anyone know if the penalty competition took place at half time as I was in the bar so wouldn't have seen it.

b)enjoying a nice cold pint of Strongbow that was bought for me.

I simply call it as I see it.
If we play crap - which we did most games last season, I say so.
When we play good football, as we did Tuesday, I give credit where credit is due.
I still think our squad is too small, as evidenced by our need to play 3-5-2 simply because we only had 3 defenders available to play!!
It actually worked, but that may be because Tamworth were truly dreadful, and look likely to struggle all season.
Against a team like York, we need to adopt a more considered approach, ie back to 4-4-2 if we can find another defender from somewhere.
