upon reflection of these matters in hand

About 3 years ago. Last game of the season.

We had the lead until the ref made one of the worst penalty decisions I’ve ever seen.

Can’t remember if it ended 2 –1 or 3 – 2.

Think it was a fiver to get in.

One hundred Urchins @ £9 equals £900

Three hundred Urchins @ £6 equals £1800

One hundred Urchins @ £9 plus 200 Urchins standing on the sea wall and looking at the match for free still equals £900. (You can see almost the entire ground from the top of the sea wall behind the far goal).

Sure there are people who stayed away because of the price but a lot more people stayed away because we stuggled to play attractive football, people want to be entertained.

I don`t know for sure but i`d take a guess that we were the most expensive club during our old Essex Senior days and that continued right up until we reached the Conference, not many people questioned the prices until we stopped winning.

I`d would love to pay £6.00 to get in but i would also still love to be paying £11.50 to watch us finish mid-table in the Conference, sadly neither is going to happen.

with respect ronin thats YOUR opinion...ours will be somewhat slightly jaundiced...we don't really care about your ills and ailments as we have had our own to deal with and albeit hoping that you do well we only want what is best for us and our club....

you are making a serious error in charging our fans 9 quid to get into your ground...it will backfire badly on you...trust me..

We've got two bars! If you're saying you're not allowed in the 'home' one then I'm sure you'll be designated the 'away' one.

I reckon both bars will be open and you'll be encouraged to use both as our clubhouse can get rather full at times.

I think segregation is up to the police rather than the club themselves.

esu got in at maidenhead for a quid at the tender age of 30! always worth a go, if only to see the look on their faces. i ask for child prices at every away game i'm going to.

has anyone thought that the people of canvey island who may be tempted to support their local club now that it truly is their local club, in the hands of the local community,

err treeboy...I think a perfunctionary check at companies house may well reveal that one person still owns 51 percent....

allegedly... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

A check with Companies House would show the exact opposite actually! Canvey is now a club owned by it's supporters, of that there is no argument.

Looking forward to our games, earlier than expected now!
