Peter, as I remember Leroy Griffiths was on loan to us from QPR. I think it was more a case of him rejecting us rather than the other way around.

 

As regards Scott Ward, I dug this out of the forum archives...

Leroy was/is a strange case. A phenominal talent,but his own man, He knows he's good and seems to believe his own publicity and acts like a primadonna. I'd guess his ego was too much for CK who didn't give him the starring role when he was with us on loan, even though QPR had given Leroy the incentives to shine and grab a role in their first team squad. I can remember my amazement that we had a potential rising star on loan from a League sideand confined him to the bench.

I was there and did not quite see Wards performance quite as per that post.The defence was ripped to shreds down the flanks,central defenders pulled out of postion, and he was left totally exposed.I think he did virtually give up at the end however, which was unprofessional

If we were to sign LG i would seriously have to consider whether i could continue to watch the games.

In my opinion as in the NPL headline article, 2 weeks ago there is no place in football for out and out thugs.

Chris Burke was a player I thought never put a foot wrong for us and wasn't given a proper chance. Anyone know where he ended up-Hendon springs to mind but not sure.

Boujadi did look a good player.

I thought we let Chris Wild go-is he still with us as I thought he was an asset.

What about Charlie McDONALD, he's not done bad, and another loan signing was Jonathon BOARDMAN scored one cracking goal for us as I remember.

I also seem to remember that Jon Boardman scored 2 own goals in his time with us!
