The "KICK-OFF" proper !

So now we are here.Off to Worthing,our opening game of the season in the league. Seems like Worthing had a "stinker" too yesterday judging by reports from their supporters. We have the players to succeed this year.Friendlies are over loads of ups & downs,chopping & changing players.Would like to have seen a settled side playing together for the last couple of friendlies but that didnt happen. Fortunately for us the "core" of our side are used to playing alongside each other from days gone by so we should at least be able to see a lot more "unity" next week despite the recent mixture among the team.Learning exercise is over I hope for Trotty & its now down to business.

We have our best core of players,for a long while,& whilst it is on paper we know what these

these players are capable of TOGETHER on the pitch too.

With our best 11 out there I am full of confidence for the first game & I sincerely believe that we can get something out of it at WORTHING.

I havent seen Worthing in action but I know our full first team will be a match for anyone if they play together as a unit & adopt that attacking style of play we that we need & that these players are capable of.

Wouldnt mind getting a closer look at Bagley and Hickman in particular. They could provide us with the options we need along with Wild. I guess all three may be affordable where if we went for Manny that might be our only further signing.

 

Looking forward to next week if a little apprehensive about what the subs bench might look like. Have my fingers crossed its not the last we see of Wild.
