We have probably the smallest squad and tightest budget in the league.

With no sponsor at present we cannot expect any more signings for the forseeable future, only PASE and loanees.

I would be happy if we are clear of the bottom 6 at Christmas.

Anything but relegation would be considered OK.

So long as we play better football than the poo we served up last year crowds should come back.

I don't think we should get too carried away at all. It's one game, we have played well, but we didn't win. To say this squad is much better than last years still remains to be seen.

 

The next 2-3 games will give a clearer picture.

Yes if the standard of football is an improvement versus last year (To be truthful though, if its any worst then relegation will be a certainty) then some support may return. The truth however is what the majority of people want to see is a successful and winning team, until that happens at Stonebridge Road, attendances are never going to reach the heights that are needed to maintain a club at the highest level of non-league football for an extended period of time.

It's going to be a fight, that much is clear. We need to stick together, do what we can for the club, renew our Trust memberships and hope for the best.

 

Whatever happens over the next few years we have to make sure we still support the club, as long as there are people always willing to do that we'll be okay.

After the 1st half performance agasint Aldershot I think a top half finish is about right...

Thats what I was thinking, well maybe 12/13th would be regarded as a good season. Less then this will be ok, just avoiding relegation will be a big dissapointment and anything lower total disaster!

 

3 points against tamworth. Full time team, new players (hopefully new mind-set) looked decent against shots. Hopefully we will not stutter against teams either same capability as us or lower.

Based on one half of football, in which we could easily have been two or three goals down after 15 minutes? Hilarious.

I find it hard to comprehend why so many people are upwardly revising their hopes and expectations after only one match - and a defeat (albeit a likely one before the start of play) at that.
