Spare a thought

As a fleet fan living in York who does go to watch the local lads as I cant get to the fleet as often as i would like...Spare a thought for the lads on the teraces at Bootham Cresent who are the latest lot of loyal fans on the brink of going out of existance.

Lets hope the fleet never has to suffer like this..at the hands of an ex chaiman who owns the ground and wants to sell it for property developement

Thanks for listening to the moan folks

Take solace from the Charlton fans......a return to the Valley never ever looked likely at all. But through perseverance and good fortune they did.

They even formed their own Valley Party and stood in local elections to get themselves back there!!

It's worrying how many "big" clubs are in trouble due to overspending in the Premiership. Can't stand the attitudes of the boards (and some of the fans) at Ipswich, Derby, Sheff Wed, Bradford et al - who do they think they are?!!

As a York City fan living in Gravesend I can tell you that there is a great depression in this house tonight, The club went into administration today after the PFA has paid the wages for a couple of months. This is all due to a previous chairman who sold the ground for cash and the current one whose biggest money making idea was to sell knickers in the club colours. According to the York City daily email Theres Only One Arthur Bottom (star striker in the 50's) an ex Leeds Utd chairman is interested but the club needs to find a buyer by Jan18. I couls say something about anyone not having bought Christmas presents yet but I'm too depressed.

And the players are having their best season for years!!

This only goes to show that when The Fleet get league status its important that the finances are solid!

I'll be at Stonebrige Rd on Sat, but you'll excuse me if I have half a heart at Bootham Crescent (ok York are playing Friday night but you know what I mean)
