What was your band called? Usually teenage bands have really bad names. I was never in a band but my mate was in one called 'Vacas' who played one gig at the Church hall in Bushey and did covers of The Beatles, Metallica(one for Mad) and various nu-metal tunes.

They only know the one song, Laz, and they get that one wrong.

 

Actually, a few tapes of Plimsole (that was our name <img src="/forums/images/icons/frown.gif" alt="" /> ) do survive - I may dig them out when I'm feeling brave.

Chubbhead, I was the only teenager in the band (16 at the time) - all the others were mid-late twenties, but I joined as bass player when their previous one left. We were not very good at all. It was mainly covers (Day Tripper, Jumping Jack Flash, Weather With You, Sunshine Of Your Love, There's No Other Way) and the stuff they wrote was pretty crap.

 

Still, they were good times, plenty of groupies etc. etc. <img src="/forums/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

Very busy at the moment, not had a chance to mail and I am not about to get involved in arguments about chairmen and managers. I have learnt to stick to the music!

 

As for me, I can't play any instruments and don't think I'd be good at being in a band. I suppose with enough alchol + other stuff I could do a 'Bez' but I'd only be a cheap imitation...

When I was at junior school I had a pretend band called The Taxies Boys

 

Me and Jon tried to start a teeny band called Girl Magnet

 

I like the name - Marvin Sexually Alternative Experinance, which is the politically correct name for Marvin Gaye.
