why is it that you give them a choice, they decide, goes pear shape and then us men are wrong.

With the colour of the paint, it could and probably is a case of it looking a bit different once dry. When they mix it, they can't always get the same colour as what is on the little card, and it will be guaranteed it will look a bit different once on the wall and dry.
