I cant see an advert the size similar to that which Thanet Wanderers have in the local. Thats what I am talking about. If indeed they do more than is seen then good but you will have to be more specific Andy. Without being specific I cant really judge.I havent SEEN anything from the club advertising our games except for a little bit that is included in the report in the local & a notice displaying it at the ground. That just isnt enough or in the local papers case big enough for peoples eyes i.m.o.

Are we talking of advertisig the game/games in a bigger way here? Or something else? Thats what I am talking about!

Please tell me where I can see the proof of this & then a full apology will be forthcoming without hesitation both to yourself & the club.

n.b.If we cant see it then what do you expect me to think. The thing is & more importantly can the public see it.No,I'm sorry you will have to convince me more I'm afraid.

Tell me by a p.m if you wish it not to be known though I cant see why that would be the case.

I'm not trying to cause friction here but would just like to SEE more from the club.More togetheness with the supporters on this one.

Just look at how successful Charlton are with their strategies. They have more money I agree but on a pro-rata basis we should be doing more to get people here.As many have said though & quite rightly, the results on the field in the main will determine our next attendance figure but we cant just sit back & rely on that alone can we?

Please convince me,show me the proof.Of course I have every respect for what you are saying but what you are saying just dosent ring true, outwardly.

We are a football club by the seaside.Surely it makes sense to push the boat out occasionally doesn't it?

Further to the above, whats stopping the club from hiring a bus & advertising pick up points around Thanet on match days specifically for people to come along to our games.People might be more likely to attend if they know they will be picked up & dropped off after the game.If the bus costs say £100(dont know how much a coach or bus would cost) to hire for 3 or 4 hours or even just for an hour beforehand & an hour after the game & we pick up just 11 adults we are breaking even. Any more & it will increase the turn over as well as make more money in the clubhouse teas, coffees,

burgers departments & it will certainly help the team perform better,or it should do. Not to mention that they could join m.i.s.a/Golden gate lottery, buy matchday programmes etc by coming along and being tempted.

These may be Ramsgate,Broadstairs,St.Peters, Birchington,Westgate,Minster,Acol etc people who wouldnt normally be tempted to the matches..

On a mini scale to that of Charltons why dont we do something similar but around Thanet, not any further afield to promote the club. It would be a "1st" to the area too & would give the club media coverage because of it.It may not work,in which case abort the effort but its worth a try,or something similar.

Well done cookie, the one in the albion is that the little albion in St Peters or the big albion in Broadstairs

Its the one in the road leading from St.Peters to Broadstairs Andy. The guy seems to know you by the sounds of it but he didnt sound very favourable toward you for some reason. Somehow I have a feeling that poster may not go up. Maybe you had dealings with him in the past. Since you asked then maybe you did. Anyway thats one of the reasons for me asking people to "keep those eyes peeled" while around the island..
Its quite possible though, that I maybe got first impressions wrong.

It wouldnt surprise me that some may not bother once I had departed James so it wouldnt be too much of a surprise if some just cant be bothered despite their assurances to do so. Again,"eyes peeled" as I would like to know just who we have wasted our posters on. Hopefully the large majority of those who accepted posters WILL do as they said.If anyone sees a place mentioned not showing one then ask them for me "why not" or just say nought & tell me would you. Saves going there again in the future! Thanks

Had a meal in Lesters last night & no poster was up but when I asked the girl she said it was amongst other posters etc on the counter waiting to be put up.I did mention it was for Tuesday night so really needed to go up pretty soon.Just have to wait on that one(Thorley may not allow it even though I was told there would be no problems). So if its that one you are talking of James therein lies the answer to that missing poster.(for the moment).

Well there you go. I did my job correctly then. Could so easily have missed out that one. Why did you not give him a poster yourself just in case he wasnt visited by me? Dont matter,he has one now.Glad to know that its up too.Sorry I got the wrong "first" impressions. Apologies.
