Haringey Borough Football Club

Recommended Posts

I hear that Haringey were bumped today by the ref. Langfords first goal never came close to even crossing the line, and with ten minutes to go Haringey had a ball punched clearly off the goal line by a defender to stop the score from being 1-1! With Langford down to ten men, a penalty against them making the score 1-1, surely the boro would have gone on to take all three points!

Those cry babies at Edgware would have appealed to have the game replayed of course.

I think these things tend to even themselves out over the course of the season, it's just everyone remembers more of the decisions that go against them. Good luck for the rest of the season (except when you come to us <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />). Nice bunch over at Haringey hope they stay up.

Manorborn - Were you hoping to get some sort of reaction, no comment!

I just felt that Manorborn had posted that particularly to get some sort of reaction from me, I could ask exactly the same question, namely why bother to post that they are a nice bunch if the World and its wife already think so.

Thanks Horace, didn't know you were a tennis man. I know you think they are a nice bunch at Coles Park following your visit for the 9-0 game.

My response was actually to AllowIT who I'm not sure is with Haringey, not to you at all Rhodes as I assumed you were still stalking Paula. I did however have a cheeky dig at Edgware which Gav picked me up on.

By the way, you replied so therefore I did get an (unwanted) response.

Well AllowIT is another of these 'men of mystery' such as 3praise, Doctorwho and Brit06 and none of them will admit that Haringey Borough should be another Barnet or Leyton Orient even if they know full well that the Club should be. 'Sugar' runs the Club as a dictatorship, Robert Mugabe and Idi Amin style, I have told him as much, and everyone at Coles Park is scared stiff of stepping out of line or they will be shown the door.

How many deaths is he responsible for?

Strangely enough I said to him and I quote 'you haven't killed anyone, yet'.

If this link works it's the match report from yesterday from Langford's impressive, and up to date, Website, strangely enough there is no mention of the incidents AllowIT touched on earlier in this thread:

And all this time you've been having us on that you didn't know why you were sacked! Didn't you also mention Caecescu and (for some absurd reason) Ken Bates in your e-mail to Mr. Achillea?

I should also point out that Enfield Town lost a court case brought by the Leyton Chairman for a case of slander not that long ago. Cost them £5,000 plus costs if I remember rightly. Consider yourself lucky you were "only" sacked and banned from the ground.

I was a little taken aback to see the Haringey line up yesterday as follows:

Haringey Borough: Julian Roberts, Glenn Shurety, Danny Gibson (Louis Dainty), Chris Perifimou, David Patten, Tamba Ngongou, Rashid Kamara, Alfred Kamara, Dean Wilkinson, Brahim Embal (Calvin Petrie), Onaldo Teixoto Dos Santos

the only players I recognise are obviously the great Glenn Shurety and substitute Louis 'pretty boy' Dainty although Chris Perifimou, David Patten and Dean Wilkinson were there at the end of last season for a couple of games to keep 'us' in the Premier division. Perhaps the 'mysterious foursome' could throw some light on the other players backgrounds and where they came from.

Why so surprised, I think it was explained somewhere else they had a big clear out of players and an influx of new blood.

It would be like a Manor supporter who saw us last year paying a first visit of the season to the hallowed turf of Grosvenor Vale yesterday...only three players from last years squad started the game.

Its called transition but then you are still stuck with the unlucky Leeds side of the 60s/70s as your yardstick that hilariously won a lot less than it should have!! (see I can shoe horn totally unneccessary things intyo posts too!)

Match report from Langford -

"The closest chance of the game for the visitors’ came in a bizarre incident nine minutes from time as Reds goalkeeper Winsor appeared to be clearly fouled when trying to collect a high ball played into the area. From the resulting loose ball the Reds survived by having to make two goal line clearances to preserve the slender lead".

The first goal line clearance was punched off the line - rhodes.
