gibson is using this club to serve himself and his greedy wallet. the only way is down. he doesn't care what happens to st albans city fc.

roberts and cook are the best managers we've had for years even better than hill maybe and now they are both going. cook won't stay now. he'll follow roberts wherever he goes to cambridge or stevenage and then all the players will leave again.

You sad Manipulative little creep! Why don't you go and bury yourself under a stone somewhere and keep your stupid comments to yourself. City are third in the league and in an unrecognisable position compared to this time last year! Some people just like to complain in spite of the immense efforts and expense of people like Gibson! The only thing that drives managers and players away from the club is the kind of small minded drivel that appears on this message board. Wake up supposed City fans and get behind the team and management you can still win the championship this year. Beat Aldershot on Saturday and it will be fascinating to read the board then!!!

Well TJ.

I read The Duchess' message and, however tempting, I would not reply in order to try to avoid giving it any level of credibility. Incidentally, while 'The Duchess' was Buzz Lightyear last year, I think that this is someone quite different.

Actually, I have a problem with the detail of your message, TJ:

"The only thing that drives managers and players away from this club is the kind of small-minded drivel that appears on this message board."

Now. Just read that once more. Once again.

So. Hill. Dowie. Mudd. Kendal. Roberts. Which of those were "driven away by......this message board"? Piper, Piper, Clark.... Need I say more?

Unfortunately, TJ, the main thrust of your criticism of the first message on this thread, with which I agree incidentally, is rather undermined by that cr@p.

AFF , I think you may be surprised at how much a message board reflects upon a team and its own and opponents supporters! John Gibson must be wondering why he bothered to rescue the City and if the effort has all been worthwhile. A couple of bad results following the record breaking run and everybody is complaining like hell! Perhaps thay should have lost the first 8 games of the season and then started winning and you would all be happy. Last week there were messgaes of 'where has it all gone wrong?' Gibson appears to have done something positive to try and change things and get the team back on track and a fair few don't like that either! Planning for the future re the Ground and before you know it he is made up to be a money grabbing property developer! It's like Coronation Street and Dream Team all rolled into one! City have a great opportunity to go up this year and with the Likeliehood of Stevanage and Woking coming down it is only going to be more difficult next season. I am sure this does not apply to you AFF but it seems as though some people are too quick to jump to constantly negative conclusions. Saturday is a great opportunity to really get behind the team, manager and Chairman. Win and all bets are back on. T.J.

Only if you want to be the same as everyone else Tony! You are right every so often when Arsenal lose there is some plank on 606 calling for Wengers head but the swell of opinion is in the majority very positive! The Saints board does not on the whole reflect the massive hole you have dug yourselves out of this year, it is a major achievement to be where you are and there is still a massive opportunity. You appear tohave a good squad a Manger with a track record of achievement and a Chairman who has real ambition. What more do you guys want?

I lived in St.Albans until 1983 and watched them through good and very bad times from the 1968 season at the age of 7 when the team was at the top of the non league game through to the season where we started on minus several points and got relegated to the second division. In the mid seventies thing were so bad the programme was sometimes a photocopied peice of A4 with the teams and nothing else! I moved North in the 80's and have seen a few games at the Park in between but also your treks north in the Trophy(Ashton was a particular favourite with the Vickers goal in the dieing minutes to equalise!). Support North Ferriby in the Unibond First Division who are having a great season just like the Saints. Seems like oyu guys went through hell with the Harding saga and thats why the progress to a relative outsider has been so impressive! Get behind the lads on Saturday and you could be top again by the new year!

Hi TJ.

I don't believe for a moment that there will be any Saints Fan at The Park on Saturday hoping to see anything other than a win. In their own way, everyone will be behind the team, the manager and The Chairman.

Opinions, TJ. CZ is right. It's about opinions. [Muddie used to say that as I recall. There's a thought. CZ might be Muddie!] You have expressed an opinion in your second message. "A couple of bad results following the record breaking run". I don't agree. In my view, with a couple of exceptions, the Team have played poorly for 2 months or more, often very poorly. I am entitled to that view, you are entitled to yours even though you are wrong.

Now. This is an open forum and a number of good suggestions have been made on here over the weeks, months and years. Some of those suggestions have come as a result of criticism. Not, in my view, 'negative' criticism. Take an example. the matchday programme. In my view it was poor. Creative criticism took place and, entirely unconnected with this message board, no doubt, some changes were introduced. What's wrong with that?

I have to say that I do object to sweeping criticism of this board and those that make a small contribution to it. There are very different views expressed on here, and whilst a very few are outrageous, not all.

You have to be thick-skinned to come on here, TJ. Me? I bruise far too easily.
