So what will you do Boxing Day?

Recommended Posts

Former diamond dealer John Goodwin is now preparing to form a new club to play at the council-run Broadfield Stadium and enter it into the Ryman League for this season.

***Can they do that? Surely the leagues have finalised their structures by now?

SCR 1pm News: more uncertainty, was due to wind up at Midday, Majeeds up the offer to 50p, creditors to now redecide, thought they were voting on principle not financial reasons.

Club not yet liquidated - 2 creditors rethinking.....

....then:

BBC News at 1.35pm had an interview with Gill Roberts.

The reporter said it was felt unlikely that the creditors would accept the 50p in the £, and Gill basically said what we all know - that being it will be liqudated and will be demoted down the FA Pyramid, but couldnt comment how far down.

Followed by:

There will be no decision today it seems on the new offer by the Majeeds as Sadler has given them (the creditors) a 24hr extension.

I thought we already had, I am not sure we would have got Opinel and Ekoku if Crawley hadn't been in trouble.

I think Liam was interested in Ben judge last season and Dave Woozley would be a good signing but we still have the same budget whatever happens at Crawley.

Omari Coleman anyone? Maybe Jessica will start a collection to finance it. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/whistling.gif" alt="" />

Tony Scully (though he was useless when I saw him at Crawley), Ben Judge, Lee Blackburn and Ben Strevens all worth a look.

Rawle was on trial there too! And Lance Cronin was on the bench for them too during the summer.... oh hang on, we've signed him already!

From the Argus :

" ... A spokesperson for the Conference said: "As far as we are concerned, Crawley Town are still a member club and there will be a game on Saturday.

"That will be the case until we hear otherwise. If they are not liquidated, they will compete in the Conference this season." ... "

... and to that end, the administrator has already made the decision to accept the Majeeds' offer, thus avoiding liquidation.

Well let's hope they at least last until the end of the year.
