Friendly defeat

Thought Nyman and Smith livened things up when they came on.Quite a few players don't look quite match fit yet, with is a bit worrying as that was our last friendly.

I like the way we are playing now.It definately suits Hammett more and he actually looks to be forming a good partnership with Crace (and Hughes).Caicedo looks a good prospect but is far from the finished article.I predict he will spend a lot of the time on the bench, used in short bursts.Who was our No4 last night .Tickner? Not sure about him,had a very average game. The only other player i have doubts about is Dave Hunt.Great box-to-box player, but i'm not convinced yet that he has the touch, strengh or vision to command a regular centre midfield spot.

Kevin Stephens was our best player again.Fitz will be invaluable in the dressing room and on the field if and when he can get himself matchfit.

I've a feeling that Valendia will really flourish this season.Especially with Rudi out of the way.

JJ looked solid enough, although he could have done better with Woods first goal.

I've seen enough of the new players now and the way we are trying to play, to be very encouraged going into the new season.I feel we will be much more prolific infront of goal this campaign.Although i've got a nasty feeling we could be conceeding slightly more as well. Can't wait for the season to start.

What with a completely new team,AND playing some hard games in the first few fixtures,i think we could well be only midtable after the first month of the season. With a steady and progressive rise into the play off places by halfway through.

From the homepage.

'A poor crowd watched the hosts come out on top in the last of Enfield Town's pre-season friendlies.'

Supporters couldn't have been that poor - we paid £8.00 to get in. Mind you, I did get a programme this time.

I have to disagree Andy you were poor after having parted with your £8 to get in!

In the same way you have to pay for a referee of the standard of the highest playing team in a friendly, maybe the assumption is that you have to pay the 'friendly' price of the highest level team.

This wasn't as bad as Cheshunt's rip off in last season's pre-season friendly. That was also £8.00 and I think the programme was extra.
