Granted there wern;t many, but here were more than one. I guess the draw (or not) of pre-season friendlies. It will be interesting to hear the attendance. Did the entry reduction make a difference?

Goood attendance I thought taking all things into account. Not the greatest of attractions & what with being just a friendly.Ramsgate playing at home also. Footy on T.V too.I would say around the 250-300 mark which is not a bad turn out.

Plenty of noise with the drum etc. Quite a good atmosphere there tonight.

First half the "GATE" didnt really perform well but second half worked harder and the 3 goals were all good goals, all well taken. Burgess Hill playd o.k.Could have had a couple with more luck. We were stretched at the back a few times with full backs being the wrong side of the ball.

However second half a vast improvement to the first. Lacked that punch up front but only to be expected I suppose with the players available.

A comfortable win in the end & a good work out again in the end.We really need to see our FIRST TEAM out though on Saturday at DOVER to get them ready for the games to follow in the league.They need a final "test" i.m.o..Looking forward to see them there at the Crabble on Saturday with the form we know they are capable of.(injuries etc permitting of course).Nice to see Charlie out there tonight. Both he & Scott looked safe in goal.

Players who I thought played well tonight were PINNOCK(better second half than first)& HOGGART when he came on.He did well.

 

News on the grapevine was that SESAY has gone to BLACKPOOL for a trial,PROTHROE was injured & HOCKTON had an arrival of a new baby thanks to his wife so he couldnt make it.

(congratulations Danny & wife).

 

Also heard that GRADLEY turned out for the RAMS tonight who apparently drew 1-1 at home to Faversham. The above re:Gradley to be confirmed though.If that be the case & he signs for them good luck to him.

very fair summary mate cant see gradley playing for the rams with the wages they pay.also heard manny wants too much money and the plans are changing again with the motor bike training place going at the side in tivoli park so the pitch will not have to be turned.thats only what i heard so dont take it for gospel.

Theres been a lot of talk about the plans from what I heard last night. Id wait till the plans appear on UKPlanning. Rumours that the plans have already been to Council are wrong. The meeting between Rowlett and Ezekiel was just that.

 

Good performance by the Blues. Liked the wing work. There were hints of long ball play, though thankfully it wasnt very often. Playing along the ground worked so much better.

 

Bad point...those damn mini motos in the first half.
