Slough Town vs Wealdstone - Score Updates

Half time score is Slough Town 0-1 Wealdstone.

Slough are very much second best and Wealdstone could be three or four up through chances in the opening twenty five minutes although Slough have Slough fought back into the game without really penetrating the Wealdstone back line for any clear chances.

Game finished 1-1 with a Tony Boot headed equaliser as Slough fought back into the game although Wealdstone had their fair share of chances in the second half.

Slough improved greatly in the second half and made much more of a game of it, but it finished with end to end stuff with both sides looking lively when attacking.

yeah it was 1-1 but we didn't deserve anything, Wealdstone should have buried us by half time. Thank God for Sammy Winston's introduction. When will Browne realise this Davies guy is crap?

Fair result I thought. You had the possession and we had the better chances.

We defend far too deep for my liking which invites pressure on to the defense/ Having said that, pretty pleased with the result and we only had one first defender out there and five of last year's youth team starting.

Good to play in a proper stadium against some opposition fans.

Cheers EE-WFC , you say it's nice to play in a nice stadium with some opposition fans...it's nice to have a home game with some away support ! Probably more of you than the total amount of away fans the rest off the 22 sides will bring for the rest of the season !

For the game , Sammy has to start . Yet again we were poor until he came on . Felt sorry for Tony Boot until Sammy came on , worked his knackers off with no help and he deserved his goal . Palmer was the only other good 90 minute player . We can't rely on one player coming on after an hour to start playing as a team .

Wot do u lot think your final position will be? mid-Table obscurity!... and next season?

The mind boggles with Stevie Browne in charge, no thats a lie, we all know where we will be next season with him in charge.........chuckle chuckle

Did Michael Gilkes break sweat last night? Why did Deji Davies Start ahead of Winston? Why has Wilkinson suddenly appeared and starting every game ahead of Metcalfe? Why do we need 3 keepers? McCann lets another goal slip past him!! Bring back Adrian Blake!

All the mistakes of the last few seasons are being repeated by the Manager. Far too many ordinary signings being made - what is the point of getting in more players who are no better than what is already there? The Manager said at the start of the season he was relying on youth - so why have we signed a 32 year old centre half who was on the subs bench last night?? Why is Winston not in the side? Why has Rainford returned only to warm the subs bench. Anyone knows Winston should be in the side from the start. Alvin Bubb has hardly been given a chance - why is this?

Sammy Winston is still not fully fit and still feels a problem with his knee when he is striking the ball which is why he is not starting.

Mind you, even with him half fit he's still better than Davies has done so far, but we need to give the lad a chance at least. You don't score 15 goals by being rubbish so he must have been doing something right.

Bit harsh. He's 37 and not recovered from his injury fully yet and he can change games for us.

I am a Michael Gilkes fan, but last night i'll admit he was poor and did not look interested.

Come on Gilkesy - you can do better.

PS: Mets and Rainford should start in the centre on Saturday :-)

great stuff boys, just like the stones, tear yourselves apart, this website must be a massive confidence boost to the players and management...!!!!!!...here's a little story for you.. many years ago a major, major, top team player said to me...

''whatever you do here you get slagged off...in the end it makes you not want to play but you do because of the money...I wish I was still at********where the fans were great and whatever happened they respected us...fans at big clubs forget we are human beings''....

think on rebels, you'll destroy your clubs moral if you are not careful,,,who has two weeks off with flu,,,someone who don't care, thats who, probably had enough of you lot....

Thank God!For Dean Palmer , Paul Barrowcliff and Sammy Winston.Least these players play with spirit and didn't give up the fight against Wealdstone.I also thought that Wilkinson and Boot had good games and I've never been a fan of either!Metcalf looked totally out of sorts when he came on,either he's sulking or not fit,but I do regard him as a better player than Wilkinson but Wilko is playing better than ever before. We are really missing Veli Hakki. It's amazing how much workload he put in,both at defending and attacking. He actually could go past a player from the centre of midfield.Something that our other central midfielders haven't got.Rainford,Williams,Spencer are all lightweights.Rainford I thought was appalling against Wembley on his debut.I think he thought he was playing for Browne two seasons ago. When Browne didn't have a clue!Has anything changed.!!!

I have to say that I thought Wilko was dreadful on Tuesday. He was playing long, useless balls all the time and always looked like he was going to lose it in midfield. Rainford may not have played very well against Wembley but played extremely well before being substituted against Berkhamsted. He and Metcalfe should both be ahead of Wilkinson in the pecking order.
