LOL - anyone who spends any amount of time at brimmo will know who is actually running the Downs. If you really want to know then call me.

Well maybe the board can inform its share holders at the AGM of the working relationships down at Brimmo?

"Election Timetable
Enfield Town FC Supporters' Society Ltd's election timetable has been announced as follows:–

Action
Timing
Date

Canvass elections for nominated posts
AGM - 61 days
26th August 2006

Receive elections for nominated posts
AGM - 49 days
7th September 2006

Postal ballot papers issued to all members with notice & agenda for AGM
AGM - 35 days
21st September 2006

Ballot results received
AGM - 14 days
12th October 2006

Ballot results announced
AGM
26th October 2006"

So we are nearing the date for canvassing, but how will the system work? Will all current members be written to explaining the process of how to stand for a position on the board and will members know how many board places are available? As there are only 12 days between canvassing and 'receiving elections for nominated posts', it does not give people a lot of time to find out what would be expected of a board member and who they could find to second them, especially as the only people who can second them are fellow society members.

Further to Andy's query, as no acknowledgmment of receipt of membership renewals was issued, how do we know if our renewal was recieved and registered? Do we have to wait a couple of days after 7 September to see if the ballot paper has arrived?

After 7 September will be too late for members to register their intention to stand for election if they have not received anything beforehand.

So having just got back from sunny Ibiza, how has the canvassing been going of the society members? Who is standing down from the board? Who is standing for election to the board? Have all society members been sent details of the process? I know what the answers will be! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
