Team featured the triallists again... probably for the last time as I understand Matt is planning to treat the last 2 games as 1st team games.

Scrappy game, our midfield in particular didn't function well. Two mistakes two goals. Lacked a bit of a cutting edge up front. Thought Vincent did OK out of the under 18s, but none of the triallists did anything to make me want to keep them.

Despite the likelihood that at most 4 of our starting xi today would start in the first league game, this was a very weak effort from us.

 

In fact it was complete sh1te.

 

Hopefully we can now concentrate on getting our best side out there as at least we have a "competitive" game on Tuesday.

 

Hx will obviously be strong in Ryman 1 but we should have done better.

And what business is it of yours Yellow...some of us had family engagements after the game...

As for the game, it certainly wasn't our best but they are friendlies and only those that have their heads up their arses think that they count...all that was lost yesterday was a bit a pride...thats all. Quite frankly, I can live with that if we present ourselves well next season.

As for the No.3, what a dick head....did Hornchurch proud yesterday...

I am certainly not one to condone retribution on the field of play, but an elbow in the gob can occasionally prove to be a little provocative. Not necessary in a friendly, methinks.

And you were well placed to see it?...It happened right in front of me and no elbow was raised. Hodges went past him, fair and square. There was no need for the acting and then the retaliation. The guy consolodated his guilt by trying to get away from the 'Ricay player when Hodges admonised him later in the game.

steady gaz...danny glozier is a right nice lad and could be the find of the season for us...the incident was actually right in front of Kel a bit further down from you guys and I also saw that hodges clobbered him...doubt that it was deliberate these things happen but the lad got his own back and the game went on...there was a nasty tackle on jamie southon also in the second right in front of me and again doubt that it was deliberate but jamie was looking for him when colin yanked him off...these things happen and overall I thought it was a good game in mostly good spirit and wade the ref did outstandingly well letting the game flow...

as for friendlies.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />..bragging rights dear boy...bragging rights...

no probs mate....there has always been an edge 'tween our clubs and I wouldn't have it any other way as much as I have a deep affection for new lodge and you lot...nor I suspect would you..

 

as far as we are concerned we turned over the mighty ricay from the lofty prem and thats it...... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />...banterisation rights belong to the little old skint urchins....you'll have to hope that you get us in a cup or other soon to get yur own back.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
