This must be keeping RT's hands tied a bit .

 

The odd thing is, one has'nt read noises about any of those trialling elsewhere.

Wonder where they will turn up.

 

Equally of course, as the conference sides finalise their squads, and transfer window closes at end ofAugust, there is a second phase of decent players becoming available, and maybe RT is just waiting patiently for these players not wanted at conference clubs to become available.(sorry-just realised that repeats what seaside steve posted)

 

Lets hope so anyway.

 

In fact of course, RT did say in his Gate chat interview that he wanted another striker and defender on board

SS. If we go back 12 months this is the type of post we were writing as excuses for ck.

We are still paying for the over the top prices/ wages payed last season in an attempt to bring together a team. Unless the board ( that bottomless in some opinions purse) as come up with more money, then RT has his hands tied until the monies used up by the players on transfer is freed.

Unfortunately my holidays have coincided with all friendlies so far except the Millwall game, so i cannot comment on them. Reading the comments from the people at the game against Erith and talking to others it seems this result is a case of just an experiment going wrong.

Also a lot of people out there should also be pleased to see the local youngsters they have been braying for finally coming into the plans. Sooner i must admit than i thought they would.

As for Manny, he was a good player for us in a provider role and was very quick, i also was very sorry to see him go. Do not expect a lot of goals from him though.

What ever happens i say it's definitely Onwards and Upwards from here.

if the transfer listed players dont find other clubs very soon they will have to be brought back into the fold.if they do not wish to do so and will not train or perform for the club they are surely in breach of contract and can be sacked so releasing the money the were being paid for other players.either way im sure we will have a good squad of 18 players including a couple of the good young players we have seen
