HTFCew
The first team game due to be played at 3pm has just been called off as Brook are unable to raise a team!!! Instead, there will be a game between our firsts and reserves - free entry.
Horace
Big time Brook House! Even got their reserve team manager to do their dirty work for them! Didn't even have the courtesy to contact a club official. Even Mickey Mouse clubs don't do that.
GRS67
Umm interesting, seems like all is not well at brook maybe?
Rhodes
HTFCew - When did you first hear that the game was off out of interest, it is certainly a poor show and didn't seem to give you any time at all to contact another Club to come up to play you, I hope you didn't produce a programme. We would have grabbed your arm off if we would have know about it say on Friday evening and given you a good game too the way we are playing at the moment, ask Ruislip Manor. How did your First Team v Reserves match go, I expect a lot of punters showed up expecting to see an exciting game with Brook House and were disappointed. HTFCew
We were told at 12.45 - not enough time to get another team! We don't do programmes for friendlies luckily. Brook House reserve team did turn up as it was supposed to be a double header. Our reserves drew 2-2 with them. Our firsts beat a mixture of first team squad and reserves 3-1. neutralbob
we were called at 12.30pm by our reserve manager who was at hertford, who apparently said "i dont even want our reserves playing on this pitch let alone the 1st team" i know for a fact that we had at least 14 available! Rhodes
HTFCew didn't say that your Reserve Team Manager was already at Hertingfordbury Park at 12.30, did he feel that the pitch was dangerous then as I gather your Reserves turned up and played out a 2-2 draw. I'm sure HTFCew will confirm that there is nothing wrong with the pitch so it all seems a little strange.
Alfie Noakes
Did the referee call the match off because of a dangerous pitch NO ! How many players were injured in two matches on it NONE !

Horace
The pitch is in poor condition because of the long dry summer - it is not, however, dangerous. I expect that a lot of other pitches at this level are the same. Brook House have shown what a Mickey Mouse club they are by failing to show, and leaving it to their reserve team manager to tell us. What about the match officials expenses, the food we had got in for our visitors .. etc etc.. How many phone calls have we had from club officials apologising/ offering to share the expenses? None! We did get one within half an hour from Hemel though - they had been told that our game was off because the pitch was dangerous, and were offering to switch next Saturday's game to theirs! Wonder who told them that? Good luck to "big time" Brook House in the Southern League - call off a game because you don't fancy the pitch and you'll get a £1,000 fine! Who do you think you are? Chelsea?
