Pukka Pies

Recommended Posts

A strange first post (i've been reading for years couldn't be arsed to log), but something that needs to addressed....Pies and football have always gone hand in hand just like Canvey and gypo's so how comes we can get radioactive chips & curry but not a pie in sight.

It's not to much to ask is it? i even got one at the new Emirates stadium the other week (it did cost £4)so why at working mans Stonebridge Rd is it impossible. You only need one of them hot cabinet things could go in the bar and food is 100% profit.

Maybe if the pies were left in the hot cabinet too long and hardened, they could be used as missiles? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

The bar did used to sell pies but when the people before the people who do the food now took over the contract they complained that it was breaching their "only food is ours" contract. The same people also complained about sweets being sold to small children in the club shop.

As these people are no longer doing the food then maybe the pie cabinet can be resurrected.

It's a sad day when your club is being dictated to by a fat bloke in a portable van, hang on a second what's Geoff King up to now days.....

If the club is in a contract with the van man, could there be an amending sub clause section 1)...MUST INCLUDE PASTRIES AND PIES OF VARIOUS VARIETIES.

Either that or i may have to start breaking club rules....psssssst wana buy a pie mate.

We have new people doing the food? I must have missed that! Good, those chips there last season were the worst I have ever tasted.

If the catering is contracted out why not ask them to supply the bar with ie. Pies and a variety of rolls. If they cant or wont supply then they have no complaint if others do,its called supply and demand. We Brits just dont complain enough.

The Bar is for beer....if you want a pie, get it somewhere else. If there's one thing that really pisses me off in life then it's being in a pub waiting to be served whilst w*nkers in front of me order a diet coke & a portion of chips, and then pay on their credit card !!

Cheers,
