Crossbar Challenge

Recommended Posts

Important to remember, though, that no-one's going to decide to go down to Stonebridge Road on the off-chance because there's a half-time crossbar challenge competition. Ultimately, it's only the football on the pitch that can increase the supporter base and impress outsiders.

Half-time 'entertainment' may not be quite as tacky as playing music when the home team scores, but, with the exception of the excellent relay race around the perimeter of the pitch at Exeter last season, it runs it close.

??

Im not buying a shirt unless we have a sponsor as i dont want to have to shell out for another one shortly afterwards?! think his priorities are correct and what a lot of fans will do - cant see many people walking round with what will effectively be a red t shirt on!?

I shall be doing my bit for club coffers by standing at the real bar during half time in the traditional manner & partaking of alcoholic beverages, which, President Blair informs me, does not constitute "binge" drinking, and does not infringe my Human Rights ( not that I seem to have any !).

Good luck to those who try their luck to hit the other bar !

Cheers,

My point was that Mike's post made it seem (unintentionally I'm sure) as if he was more concerned with having his nice new shirt complete with sponsor than with the more general and pressing issue that the lack of a shirt sponsor limits club revenues.
