Programme

Recommended Posts

Greetings. This season we're having a nice new programme, complete with colour and I'm looking for your input.

If anyone has any suggestions for the programme then please feel free to share your thoughts.(Apart from the obvious- stick it up your [****!!****] / get it printed elsewhere etc. etc.)

Eg: Things you would like to be included / dropped.

All input is good input.

Cheers!

The Saints Fan aticle was an option which I was going to drop anyway. The problem with player interviews is that Nick Crowther doesn't have the time to arrange them anymore because of his growing number of matchday duties. Of course if anyone else is willing to offer then great!

The price has yet to be confirmed but it will be no-more than £2.50 which is normal conference fare.

Hi HM.

There will be a large number of changes to be implemented on matchdays in the Conference Nationale, on doubt. As a mere student of these matters, I should be interested to have a brief outline of the "growing number of matchday duties" that have fallen upon the shoulders of the chap what gets £50,000 a year for taking the teamsheet from the manager to the referee one hour before kick-off, and has previously co-ordinated the matchday programme in his spare time?

Good luck with the matchday programme, HM. An update of the page with the column outlining the names of the various Officials would be timely. I believe that Michelle Sinclair, Steve Carroll and Fred Miniken are no longer with us and the chap from Phillips along with Ian Ridley have joined the board if my memory serves me. There may have been other changes, of course, and "official channels" should be checked for confirmation, needless to say.

'Questionnaire', Rob? 'QUESTIONNAIRE'?

For £2.50, I would have thought that the avid readers of the matchday programme in the Conference Nationale deserve a little more than a 'questionnaire'. Hertsblue used to have to spend three or four days with these chaps in order to establish their favourite food, holiday destination and music on the car CD player, according to rumour.

[Here's a tip if your services are required and standards are able to be compromised: Give 'em multiple choice questions with a box to tick on the questionaire. Q1: Chinese/Pizza/Indian; Q2:Ibiza/Greece/West Indies; Q3: Girls Aloud/Keane/Gnarls Barkley, etc. etc.]

That's the spirit, Rob!

One thing it would be nice to avoid is large blank spaces. If the results/line-ups are going over 2 pages, there's not a lot to put for the line-ups for the first few games. A couple of adverts for the clubhouse, club shop or similar in very large print to fill the gap just look like space fillers. How about a list of FA Cup & Trophy round dates, last season's final conference table or something to fill the space in the first issue.
