If this seller is not intending to send the profits from this auctioned programme to Enfield Town FC/Enfield FC or a charity it shouldn't be promoted on this forum. There are currently 98 Enfield FC related items listed on eBay in the Sporting Memorabilia section of the auction site. Imagine what a state this forum would be in if every person listing items relating to this club or the E's put a link on the forum in an attempt to raise the final selling price!

I thought it was Peter Feeley at the Baseball Ground. Outside the ground there was the chant "Na na na na hey hey Peter feeley" Before the game and he gor a breakaway goal after extemsive pressure from Skem. We were on the back foot for most of the time and, Steve Heighway, I beleive, hit the top of the crossbar with a shot almost from the half way line, wide on the wing.

It was a damn good game! The final was called John Connell's final as he turned Dagenham inside out.

The following year Dagenham improved as they only lost 4-1.

I thought we were talking about all games against Skelmerdale. It was you who started talking about another games. The original post was about the 1970 semi. And you started talking about the 1968 Q/F.

What was the game where Stan Boardman was in the Skelmerdale squad (not sure if actually made the bench)?

FFS you were a fecking nightmare during your ESL days..plus ca change.......

Right read this...slowly. Colin of Germany said he was at said game, and I replied (jokingly, in case you are not sure) that I was at the end with the Skem fans and he should have come over and say hello.

Then I enquired as to what the crowd was...obviously referring to the same match..

OK... so i just skimmed over the thread and saw posts about Skelmersdale and big crowds, and remembered the 70,000 one and assumed you were talking about that game.Coup.. Next time i will break the habit of a lifetime, and make sure i read all your posts carefully.

PS..I still maintain that you went off-topic first.

For the record EFC played Skem:

1966-67 FAAC F Wembley 0-0

Replay at Maine Road won 3-0 John Connell, Ray Hill (2)

1968-69 faac4 h lost 1-2 Gordon Sedgeley

1969-70 faac sf at Derby 1-0 Peter Feely

in 71-72 Skem came to Southbury Road for a friendly and EFC won 2-0 thanks to Sid Hill and Ken Gray.

Couldn't remember the scorers from the 68-9 game..but quality match all the same..Do you have the attendance Jimbo, as you seem to be the Townies' expert in said matters?

Kenny Gray..what a player..scored the winner for Leytonstone in 68 at Wembley..then I remember him when he dropped down to play for Billericay in the late 70s.
