The top of the paper reads "Rochford, Rayleigh, Benfleet, Hadleigh & Canvey" - Their back page was taken up with a full colour photo of the new SUFC squad. NO mention of CIFC at all on the only page of Sport the paper has.

Did you honestly think we'd get any support from them? They did bugger all to promote us when we were in the Conference, they're hardly likely to do so now, are they?

my local free paper has half the back page given over to chelmsford every time they play.quite right too,the paper is for the chelmsford area.

so why doesn't your freebie for the canvey area cover CIFC?

The Yellow Advertiser is a paper that I feel we could really, really make the most of from now on. Every home on and around the island gets a free copy and we should milk it for all it's worth.

It looks like a guy called Paul Antony is the 'Sports Writer'.

The idea would be to create a weekly A4 or A5 size press release containing some latest news, Dave's report, a picture, (I'm happy for the Club to use any of mine. If not use the Club badge) and a mention of what is coming up, next fixture etc. and then fax or email it to the number/address above.

It has to be the YA - it's the only freebie worth reading. The Echo is a waste of money anyway.

They did actually. Our first season in the Conference we got a least a third of the back page sometimes even more, which included a colour photo too. I was disappointed when I came home the week before the Kidderminster game last season, to find nothing about the previous game. At some point during the beginning of last season and the Kidderminster home game, the YA completely lost interest in us.
