Hayes 2

Good performance from the lions great team shape, they had a majority 1st team out because it's more or less the same side i played against last season in the FA Cup, we went ahead and looked to be moving towards a deserved 1-0 win then our keeper rushed off his line to clear when r sweeper had it crash bang wallop rolled into an empty goal by their forward thankyou very much, and the second was a wicked deflection from a whipped cross, they had mark nicholls up front great touch well it should be to be fair.

But great improvement from wembley fitness is better and our team shape and pressing reduced them to lond angled balls which we dealt with easily.

maybe they weren't bov'd, but then they do something that within the game that makes you think whoa but that never happened!

Is a player mate, was best man at my wedding. Best mates since we were like 6 but does your nut when you play with him. If he concentrated on football rather than moaning at ref, players, ppl in crowd, birds flying by etc he would be playing higher. Scores shedloads of goals from midfield or up top.

Match report from hayes.

Tuesday 1st August 2006

Wembley 1 Hayes 2

Two goals in the final quarter hour saw the Missioners edge past Wembley in our first visit to Vale Farm in 20 years.

With the Missioners continuing to advance their passing game it was some fine keeping by the home stopper that kept the home sides goal intact during the first period while Adam Thomson also saved well on a couple of occasions. The home side broke the deadlock two minutes before the break when their centre half was left totally unmarked to head past the unprotected Thomson.

Only a superb save by the home keeper denied Marvin Bartley an equaliser after some neat interplay saw the midfielder volley goalwards before we finally broke through. A throughball towards Liam Feeney saw the keeper get to the ball first only for his clearance to strike Feeney and fall perfectly for the midfielder to slot home into the vacant net.

Three minutes later the decider came, Kieran Knight fired in a cross shot from the left that a home defender could only smash past his own keeper to give Hayes the win.

Think they might struggle none of their chosen back 3 (or 4 at times), cant play out from the back, and if we were pressing them and getting success and knicking things off them, they might well struggle!

In the conference! did i mention they play in the conference and up to 70 mins of the game we was 1-0 up and people are predicting a mid table finish for wembley in the CCL<img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shrug.gif" alt="" />
