Update from Hargrave Park.

 

Stansted FC are pleased to announce that Tony Mercer will sign ESL forms this season.

 

Tony is renowned as a great player for ghosting into the box unoticed and scoring away from Home.

 

It is all the pity as our home fans will not see Tony this year as he is only playing away for the foreseeable future.

I have always liked and got on well with Tony. ( And at this point I am glad to say he is not a close friend ) But what he has done is inexscusible. I feel a bit for him. There is not many that get caught doing the dirty, that get national coverage, but that aside. You have to give somthing like this the banter it deserves. Tough luck Tony. It should calm down after the first 5 years. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Like Light has said I too met Tony when he played for us and have seen him around to talk to in our local area, but cant say we are close friends but he is a likable person, but the hard facts are it is never forgotten only forgiven sometimes and could cost you alot of money, and could end up in with nothing.

Stop back tracking. This sort of thing is never forgotten or forgiven 100%. Once the dirty has been done the trust is gone.

might as well just leave this debate now. whatever anyone thinks he is going to get bantered for it but it probably wont go much further then witty comments on the forum as i doubt anyone will say much to his face.
