Saw them scrape a 3-2 win on a great surface against Burnham tonight. Hampton started brightly with a high tempo in the first 20 minutes as they always do with Yaku hitting the bar, then the post.

 

Burnham saw off that spell though and took the lead before Yaku equalised close to half time.

 

Second half Hodgey was 'asked to be replaced' by the refree as he said too much to the official(!), but the Yaku/Hodges partnership looks a good one with Hodgey playing a lot deeper than he did for us.

 

Second half Hampton go ahead before a goalkeeper error from Lovett (hee hee!) gives Burnham a deserved equaliser when he should have pushed a shot away for a corner.

 

After that it got a bit heated with challenges flying in. But Hampton won it through a Andy Cook header.

 

Burnham a week Saturday will be a hard game for us as Hampton found out tonight. As for Hampton a decent side, but a bit vunerable in the wing-back positions by the look of it and if you can see off that opening 20 minute spell of high tempo stuff you have a chance.
