a charlie mcdonald goal in the first half was the difference and I am told by both sides that we played well and that it was a good game...I saw not one minute of it as I was in the riverside burger bar doing my bit for feeding the starving and thirsty punters....

Anybody know who that drunken idiot was hurling abuse at the team in the second half from the Riverside?

thank you for calling me a "drunken idiot". If we play total **** resorting to the long ball and being incapable of puting the ball on the ground and playing football.

If I take the trouble to walk round the ground and tell the "management" what I think about this does it make me an idiot?

If on my return to the "eastside" everyone agrees with me. Does this make me an idiot?

If the new manager (his name excapes me) thinks that we played well against Gravesend & Northfleet when everyone else at the match thinks we played total **** who is the idiot him or me?

To my knowledge I have never been sent home in a taxi from Bridge Avenue,I only live up the road anyway!

I currently have a season ticket which I bought back in June when the "seasogate" controversy was at it's hight .

If you do not want me as a supporter then please refund me and that will be the end of it.

Yellow you are obviously the best sort of supporter fot Hornchurch in the future as you believe everything you are told!

New Manager (sorry I have forgotten your name) I am sorry if my comments have upset your fragile ego!

As a" long standing fan

oh dear...

adrian listen carefully please....

your language last night was totally unacceptable in front of other supporters..sponsors and children...

your churlish and very rude outburst on here is no better and no more acceptable...

whatever your views on any game there are standards of behaviour that should be adhered to and last night you broke those boundaries...from what I could see you gained no support from any other fan in the ground and made a total fool of yourself as indeed you have done on other occasions in the clubhouse. You were removed from the ground last night after many complaints about your behaviour. I agreed with the decision and let us just say that it was for your own good as well as the comfort of others around you. Several of our playing staff were becoming most upset about your behaviour.

All supporters are welcome at the stadium but standards of acceptable behaviour must be adhered to. Last night you overstepped those boundaries by some degree. I am sure that colin mcbride (write it down so you don't forget his name again as he will be around for quite a while) would be pleased to discuss his tactics with you when next you introduce yourself to him.

I totaly disagree with you Lurchin Urchin aka MDM, i dont see how telling the players that they are rubbish is gonna help them play better. Why not get your coaching badges, manage a lower league, and let someone hurl abuse at you.

I was trying to figure out who it was....Then Urchin Man put the initials...MDM !!

It all becomes clear now !!!!!

Didnt see the game last night, but was there on Saturday, and was very impressed with the fact they tried to keep the ball on the floor as much as possible, so would be very suprised if they resorted to long ball now !

i found it all hilarious to tell you the truth. i mean. telling the team to put the ball on the fckn floor and play fckn football is one thing. but when defending a corner??

hahaha.

shouting "we do not lose at home" was cringeworthy in the extreme, but made a great chant. top entertainment, but i do feel bad if it upset some of the youngsters and the playing staff.

ISSSAAAAAAC!!!! DON'T BOTTLE IT!!! EEEEEES GOT TO GOOOO!!!

Correct Cantos me ol' mucker, we could play lower teams and maybe win by 5 or 6 but we have played some good opposition, Worthing,Eastbourne and Gravesend not forgetting the Met, who are in our same level but my bet for a good run in Ryman South.

The Capital Lge team are playing some decent teams as well so they can only gain.

Pre Season only means how well the players gel together, get to know their games and establish good spirit, that they will do and we will see the results as the season unfolds.

At present everyone is being given a chance and good luck to them all.

Now that the dust has settled a little my view is still much the same.

We played a very poor game, the level of the opposition is not relevant.

A person much greater than me said that "football is a simple game, you just pass the ball to someone in the same colour shirt until you get the chance to pass the ball into the goal."

I do not recall anyone eulogizing about kicking the ball as high in the air as you can and hoping that it lands on one of your players heads.

Still that is the beauty of football, everyone has a different opinion.

I am sorry if anyone was upset .

In a kickabout maybe, but not so simple when you've got 11 players determined to stop you.

The level of opposition is highly relevant. Unless you're claiming the players deliberately set out to play badly, surely it's harder for the team to play your 'simple' game against good opposition than it is against weak opposition.

I'm not sure what you expect from a friendly. In my opinion, the result and, to some extent, how we play is what's irrelevant. All I expect from a series of friendlies is for the manager to understand more about his squad's strengths and weaknesses, and the players to learn about each other. They can only do this by playing against a higher or equal standard of opposition and trying out different formations/combinations of players and different styles of play.
