In case it's not clear the game did finish 1-1. We played quite well in the first half and the goal was well worked, pinpoint cross from Aaron Robinson on the right and Danny Wisker arrived at the perfect moment to thump home a header. In an impressive first half display in central midfield Wisker nearly added another as his piledriver was pushed away by the Chatham keeper. 1-0 up at half time and then a mass of subs resulted in the performance tailing off, Chatham kept pushing forward and got a deserved equaliser from distance that I thought possibly Scott Chalmers-Stevens should have done better with. Didn't have the best angle on it so I could be wrong on that.

I thought Wisker and centre back Luke Williams had good games and Aaron Robinson never stopped running and was always looking for the ball up front. Manny Omoyinmi looked like he's lacking match practice but I'd have thought he'd do a great job for us. Would think he'd cost a fair bit in terms of wages though so can't see us getting him unless we unload one or more of the transfer-listed players.

Think I saw practically the whole squad around the ground apart from Osman Sesay and the transfer-listed players.

Good turnout from us - must have been about 40 there which compares well to the single figure away followings Fisher and Ashford brought to us.

Cannot argue with anything Jeff put.

There was no team sheet, so we had to get together amongst ourselves a bit to try and put names in frames.

Here's what I got, but am ready to stand corrected, as I don't think it is totally there.

Starting line up:

Chalmers-Stevens (1)

Standen (2), Lewis (6), Trotty (5), Skinner (3)

Hoggart (8), Wisker (7), Cory (14), Jackson (11),

Silva (10), Robinson (9)

2nd half starting:

Omoyinmi on for Silva, McKimm on for Cory, Oates on for Skinner, Standen swapping over to left back.

Later in the second half Luke Williams for Trotty, Brister on for Robinson, and Hoggart replaced by Stellon.

Liked the look of young Stellon. Manny looked a way off being match sharp but you could see evidence of his blistering pace.

Wisker's dad confirmed the lack of an 'h' in his name, but said that everyone gets it wrong, press, team sheets, everything.

Chatham's goal was very well taken by their number 9, after some good work by their number 3.

There was some sustained pressure from Chatham in the second half forcing some good saves from Chalmers-Stevens. We had more of the first half, the lad Silva also came close with a shot shaved past the right hand post. McKimm made a terrific solo run at the goal in the second half, but met with too much opposition in the box, and Brister was saved close to the end.

Much less cohesive game than the previous two, more scrappy, but we kept the passing going, and credit to Chatham, they were playing a bit of football too. Much more like the normal type friendly.
