1. Last season after Xmas ? Not sure although I beleive he was working at Watford F.C before he joined the Saints.

 

I do know however that he has been :

- Coach - Woking

- Coach - Kingstonian

- Ass. Manager - Farnboro' , Windsor , Maidenhead ...not sure who else. (He's been a round a long time you know ;-) )

Hi GHA.

 

Colin Lippiatt was appointed Manager on November 20th 2004, just 7 days after the appointment of Stuart Cash, who had, of course, resigned prior to Colin's elevation. He [Colin], arrived at Clarence Park as Assistant to Stuart just a week earlier, and he had been scouting for Watford FC, having left the Managers post at Chesham at the end of the 03/04 season.

 

Andrew Ross is still in the squad at t'Park, Colin having declared in the local press that he wanted to "have another look at t'lad" during this pre-season. Some may assume that he is on some sort of trial.

 

I don't know about Mark Burgess, Steve Castle's PASE team or Simon's stats at Thurrock or Hucknall.

 

The starting line-up is an interesting thought on another thread. Looking back to last season overall, it seemed to me that the most effective combination was Simon playing deeper with Lee Clarke leading the line in front of goal. That was Colin's preferred combination when Paul Hakim was out injured. When Simon was injured for the last 6/8 games, Paul was recalled to the starting line-up and was 'on fire' personally, but it never seemed to be quite so effective as a duo with Lee required to play in the deeper role during that period.

 

I have a hunch that Colin will start Ben Lewis and Dave Theobald at centre-back.

Greg played at Mighty London Colney last season until he broke his leg in January/February. He may well be working as a 'stunt double' for Ben Walshe.
