SYCOB 1-1 Slough

Decent run out for the players to boost their match fitness, but not a very exciting match. They went ahead when Duncan was ajudged to have handballed in the area. We equalised when a cross from Woody saw Beaconsfield Centre back Nick Leach power a header into the net.

Wallace had a goal ruled out and they missed a sitter second-half. Apart from that nothing much of note apart from Eddie trying something different with G staring in an attacking role behind the front two. Mom probably Glynn for some neat long range passes.

Team: Drake (Beams), Duncan (Moleski), Woody, Steve Daly (Lovers), Jarvis, Leech, Glynn, Mason (Trialist), McCleary (Rav), Odhiambo (Michael Daly), Wallace (Harris).

Thought Moleski had a good game second half playing on the right side. Generally not awe inspiring. I think it was a good fitness exercise but not sure what much else we have learned. The balance did not seem quite right in midfield and up front but some decent attacking spells.

There were two triallists I did not recognise - one was wearing one of the 15 shirts and looked quite well set and the other came on as a second half sub but I did not catch his number. Didn't think either particularly stood out but it is difficult in a game like that.

True Nathan, but I guess having what is essentially a completely new team this year its going to take time to gel. Come the start of the season I'm sure the team will being playing differently, creating chances and scoring.
