Incidentally William Hill have just opened their book on our league & go 14/1 MARGATE.

Ladbrokes have cut Margates odds down to 10/1 now. Money going on locally it seems...or maybe nationally. Racing Post tip us! Thats probably why!

Still available at 16/1 with other firms though.

If we win Saturday expect those odds to drop further,mind you a bad result will see them lengthen too.

Tried to place a bet at William Hill shop in London and cashier said they had no odds for any league under Conference. Will have to find a Corals in London or wait til saturday and go local

The only firms covering it are those shown on the "link" in the first post on this thread Frankie. If you want the 16/1 still on offer with one of those firms that are not local I can put you in touch with a bookie thats local that will oblige.Cash only though with him. Let me know & I will give you details if you so wish to persue it. Hills arent giving odds anywhere for,as you say,lower than the Conference.Dont think Corals have a book either but you can ask. You wont get better than 16s though anywhere! Hope that helps.

Got an account with ladbrokes but cant find odds online for "the gate". Where did you see ladbrokes at 10/1?

Go to the Cliftonville shop Northdown road.I managed to persuade the manager(Brian) to get some odds.I think he only has the local clubs up there though(being of local interest).You will see them up on the board behind the counter. BUT do you want the 10/1 or the 16/1? Up to you. If you want the 16/1 go to Alan Bown shop in Northdown Road(lower end,opposite me & next to the private shop. Mention "cookie" or "ref" & he should sort you out with the 16/1 quote.Tell him I sent you! While you're there why not pop next door & buy a video or a mag. l.o.l.

Sorry Frankie CORALS "are" offering the 16/1 on the GATE. Try your London shops after all. No need to come down here to place your bet after all. My error in not seeing it.There are a few Corals shops locally in Thanet too.

Stan James now go ONLY 8/1 after just one showing. As good a team effort it was for the first half hour yesterday these odds will fluctuate further as the season goes on. Just one defeat will bring those odds back out. Mind you two wins in the next two home games will do likewise in reverse & those looking at the 8/1 now on offer with Stan James,though still higher with other bookmakers will see them cut even further.Still very early days & we mustnt take anything for granted but Stan James can obviously see something.A massive 4 point cut after just 30 minutes of sheer delight,class,clinical finishing and neat football in their odds suggests something.But again lets not get carried away with anything.A long long way to go yet.Consistency will be a major factor to our success this season as it should be in any other season. We have to produce that kind of football week in week out & for 90 minutes & not just for 30.

Interesting to watch though,the bookies opinions fluctuate as each game is played & each score is announced..
