Sorry to raise this threads ugly head again but I thought Potters Bar Town might be interested in the following match report:

Hendon were unable to recover from the shock of conceding two goals in the opening four minutes at The Walk on Saturday afternoon. Potters Bar went ahead barely two minutes in after James Dickie beat the Greens keeper Richard Wilmot from distance. On four minutes the Scholars went 2-0 up, a slip by Kevin Mason allowed Gabriel Fanibuyan a free run at Wilmot. The striker made no mistake, drilling the ball into the net from 12 yards. Within four minutes Hendon could, and possibly should, have been level, Ross Pickett hit the crossbar, then Dean Papali was denied by a block from Dean Harding. Hendon's defence did not look as comfortable as it had in earlier games and both Fanibuyan and Richard Howard should have extended the Scholars lead. Both sides made wholesale changes at the interval, goals for Hendon, however, would not come. With three minutes of normal time remaining they did pull a goal back with substitute Takumi Ake scoring from close range. "It took us until half-time to recover from those two early goals", said the Hendon manager Gary McCann, "we worked hard but didn't get any reward until the final minutes, we had a couple of players absent and we missed them".

Does anyone happen to know how Takumi is, I gather he sustained an injury last Saturday but I don't know how serious it was and whether he'll be fit for the start of the campaign.

Nah more like where all the decent players have moved onto! Apparently the manager there knows class when he sees it??

With some obvious exceptions...
