PB vs Hendon

Recommended Posts

Fair enough, thanks, obviously the new Club's from the Ryman 2, in particular Edgware and Hertford, have added a great dimention and higher profile to the SSML Premier Division hence the popularity of this Forum now. You then get people coming in who are nothing really to do with the SSML trying to stir things up and jump on the bandwagon which is a bit frustrating. Sorry to go on about it but take the Takumi situation at Hendon, the guy is obviously the best thing since sliced bread yet there are people trying to take him down, er no pun intended.

NeutalFan - Yes I agree but it doesn't help when you have got some people in here, no names mentioned, stirring things up and purposely throwing in comments that are likely to wind others up. Gavin for example is obviously very passionate about his football and you need to be constantly treading on egg shells with him or World War III is likely to break out.

...

World war 3? are we talking about the SSML forum or the situation in the middle east?

Gavin for example is obviously very passionate about his football

I will take that as a compliment

Guys, no that's cool, point taken. I guess I'm still a bit miffed at being unfairly shown the door at Haringey Borough at the end of last season by their joker of a Chairman Aki 'Sugar' Achillea who wouldn't know what a football was if it hit him in the you know what.

As this seems to be the closest thing to a Hendon thread I'll copy something from the Non League paper today and the match report from their impressive 3-0 win at Braintree yesterday:

'Hendon scored their first goal in the 52nd minute when substitute Takumi Ake juggled the ball past a number of home players and fired home from just outside the area'. Er anyone got anything to say!

Firstly, nobody really believes what they read in the NLP or, if they do, they should be certified.

Secondly, he is no stranger to scoring good goals (he got a very good one at our place) but there is no indication from that short snippit as to whether he spent all of the time on his feet or not. Most posters on here would suspect not.

Thirdly, you seem to have upset 'er indoors looking at her latest post on this thread!

Rak - Hi, yes I got the paper yesterday when I was over at Hendon, fame at last eh! Perhaps you can describe Takumi's goal from yesterday at Braintree for all the doubters on here, I suspect that the goal was actually better than described in Non League as 'juggling' (George Best style) the ball past a 'number' (possibly four or five) players and 'fired' (Wayne Rooney style) home from outside the area was probably played down if anything by the reporter rather than talked up. I have always found Non League to be fair and transparent, I'm not sure what Potters Bar Town's beef is with them. Anyway I hope that I haven't upset er indoors, my life won't be worth living but if so I'll worm my way out of it, I normally do.

Errr, well he picked a loose ball up in our own half (right hand side) and managed to accelerate away from two Braintree players, then with a lot of space in front of him he attacked the left back, cut inside, then cut further inside the left center back, before releasing a left foot shot into the bottom right hand corner.

Takumi also set up the third.

Anything else you want Rhodes?

Just that it isn't very good. I certainly can't be bothered to buy it. The only time I saw it last season was when I read your copy down at Haringey on the odd Thursday evening waiting for the youth match to start.

I certainly don't know why they insist on a match report from my home games when they change 90% of what I write anyway. Might as well just give them the score and scorers and leave them to make the rest up.

Mind you, now that it is in new ownership it may get better. We shall see.
