I thought you were a guy NeutralFan, I only buy Women drinks. Yes looking forward to meeting you all this evening, the Chairman is coming so you will be really privileged but as I say remember to soak your right hands in concrete first. We are also introducing our new Coach this evening, namely Mr Clement Temile, a former Nigerian Iinternational player who played in the 1984 African Cup of Nations final, don't forget to bring your autograph books down.

That's 23,879 former Nigerian Internationals who've popped up over here! 19,789 of them have emailed me via the website looking for a job!

Horace - Well this one is certainly the genuine article, you will see for yourself tonight and why not dust off your old Rothmans from 1985 to check the line up of the 1984 Afriacan Cup of Nations final, Clement also won the golden boot at the tournament. I'll have my camera with me tonight if you fancy a photograph, I could even whack it on here when I've figured out how to do it.

It's dark enough as it is under our floodlight's! - unless he smiles, you won't see a lot!

Don't doubt he's the real thing. We have had three ex England internationals as managers - Tommy Lawton (the Wayne Rooney of his day, fame wise), Cyril Knowles (Nice one Cyril song written about him!) and Graham Roberts (lots written about him!) as managers - none of them won anything!

Horace - I'll introduce you to the great man and you can make your own mind up, he was rubbing shoulders with Roy Keane and Peter Beardsley last week in Lilleshall at his UEFA 'A' Licence Course, I went up there with the Chairman to see him to get him to sign on the dotted line for us and there wasn't a prawn sandwich in sight. I think that shows we mean business, I wouldn't necessarily put 'Nice One Cyril' or Graham

'Hitman' Roberts in the same category.

Horace - You said it not me. See you in a couple of hours or so, just leaving work for Liverpool Street to get the train to Hertford East (I don't drive), if Mr Temile arrives before me can you give him the red carpet treatment, you can't miss him.

Why am I not surprised that you don't drive? Will he be wearing traditional Nigerian clobber?

Horace - You're not suggesting I like a drink or three are you, mines a pint of Stella by the way when I arrive. No since you ask Clement will be wearing a top of the range tracksuit and Nike trainers, he's a very stylish guy and we're honoured to have him at the Club. Well I'd better go or else I'll miss my 17.46 train from Liverpool Street.

  • 1 month later...

I assume the following from the another site (sorry HTFCew) is not referring to the great Kevin Cooper and is just a name sake:

Cooperman is Kevin Cooper, the goal machine of AFC Wimbledon-from-near-Wimbledon-but-not quite-Merton, who starred in their early combined Counties League teams. He has since done the rounds, sometimes scoring, sometimes not, believing his own hype, and has a reputation for pocketing large amounts of cash, and having a superb sunbed orange glow. Last season he turned out for about half a dozen clubs, and this season started off pre season at Croydon Athletic, who it was reported 'he signed for', before signing up for the thugs & muggers, aka t*****g & mitcham. Who released him last week...

Cooperman coming to another club near you soon!

There are at least 3 Kevin Coopers. This one also played for the Met Police, whom we played in a Ryman league cup match a couple of seasons ago. When our Kevin Cooper scored, our supporters started singing "one Kevin Cooper" etc. Their version (known as Kevin Copper when he played for the Met)was spectating as he was cup tied.

I see the great man hit five yesterday and no doubt could have added to that tally, was he on fire or just the fact that the opposition were so poor on the day.

Manic - I do, I thought you knew that, I'm a football connosieur like your Lato's and Potters Bar Town's of this World. What were his goals like on Saturday, to score five in a game is always an achievement.
