Looks like ex Grays player Gary Hooper will have another chance to impress and earn a contract with Southend in the game tomorrow.

I wonder if Cambell-Ryce will play, he did look a very good player when he played at Park Lane for Charlton a couple of seasons back.

News of the World (yeah I know, the comic) states there was a mass brawl (20 involved) at their training ground on Friday and he is 'beleived to have suffered serious dental injuries in the incident'

It also states Paul Brush was reportedly 'decked' as he tried to stop the fighting

Yeah, I heard about that. Apparantly involved Ricketts, yet he's not even training yet.

It may have been. The Southend fan I spoke to had read it in one of the broadsheets. I wouldn't read anything into these stories anyway. It supposadly started when Gary Hooper used a bit of fancy footwork to take the ball round someone and they didn't like it, so decided to start a ruck.
