I see that Southend were due to play Brentwood on Tuesday 1st but that was called off because Brentwood`s pitch is not up to standard, their loss, our gain <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

The Brentwood game was listed as reserve/youth team players on the Southend website so i guess the same will apply but you never know who will play in these sort of games, maybe Tilly will get his boots on for 20mins <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />

I hope they bring some first teamers. I was at the Portsmouth game on Wednesday and they were brilliant. Eastwood, Barrett and Campbell-Ryce were out of this world. Pompey couldn't cope when Southend went forward (although that was much the case for Southend at the back in the first twenty minutes) and Southend fully deserved to win.

 

Hope they don't tear us apart.

I should be able to make this game. The last time I saw us take on Southend in a friendly, was when they pinched Scott Forbes from right under our noses - I hope our trialists are signed up by then! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I always remember that one when we beat them 3-1 in Alvin Martin's first game in charge of Southend.

Looks like we will see the bandana man himself, Efe Sodje. On their message board they think the likes of Hooper, Lawson, Jay Smith + others will play - should be a great night!
