I thought it was one swallow doesn't make a summer. You had better not let Kevin, sorry Potters Par Town, hear you calling me Clifford or he won't be best pleased, we have to stick to our handles in here.

LoL

You can't resist a cheap dig can ya <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

RobbieO - No but how did you do at Haringey Borough, that's what I'm using as a yard stick.

I was rubbish that day - As was everyone!
We thought it was won before we kicked a ball - Story of our season - if we hadnt choked against the so called lessor teams, we would have been top 4 ish.
Every dog has its day - that day belonged to Harringay.

Well perhaps we will be groundsharing with Boreham Wood next season, it's anyone's guess where we will be from one season to the next which as I say isn't ideal but I think we could have done worse than Hendon. I agree that the ground is in a sorry state of disrepair but as AWK pointed out it's still a highly regarded ground with the anoraks and connoiseurs of football, we'll be getting quite a few floating fans down I would have thought. Also the bar facilities are second to none and Hendon are doing all the sarnies for us and the cleaning of the dressing rooms etc so we can't complain.

When the groundshare with Potters Bar started, I was under the impression that building work on a new ground in Camden was about to start and would take 2 years, 3 at the most, to complete. Is that not still the case?

RobbieO - So what did you make of the goal on 6 seconds that afternoon then, it was a Club record and the scorer Arthur Barker still e-mails me almost daily to gloat about it. Potters Bar Town -Er I suppose Greg told you that did he, as I said to AWK in another thread do you really think Camden would build a stadium for Kentish Town, however big, instead of initiating the building of lucrative office blocks and housing developments, I think an enquiry was made as part of the Kings Cross Development Project but not a chance. Anyway I'll see what I can do for them, Greg has given me a free rein to progress the Club as I see fit unlike the dictators at Haringey.

Quite simply Mr Rhodes - Unacceptable play from us - coupled with a bit of spawniness ala Eng vs San Marino! If i remeber rightly we were gash at home too!

Till i got us back in it then Keef T done ya at the end - haha

RobbieO - Well I look forward to meeting you on 13 September as you seem a bloke who knows what he's talking about and is fair minded, I'll put some extra chewing gum in the away dressing room for you okay and don't worry I won't slip anything into your drink beforehand. Personally I think we'll give you a game, we're training twice a week now whereas last season we never trained due to having to play out in the sticks at Potters Bar Town and we still managed to finish mid table, we've also got some classy new players.

I'm sure Gavin will also delight in introducing himself to you on 19 August and will buy you a beer afterwards, not sure if he can stretch to chewing gum in the dressing room though, not to mention soap, shampoo, towels and Andrex loo rolls, where else would you get that pampering other than in the Premiership.

RobbieO - Yes you won't know you're born when you come to Hendon on 13 September to play us, were you serious about signing as we could talk business if you like, you're clearly a cut above in the playing department.

I have devoted my services to UTD this year, i generally honour my word for the season - not a fan of jumping ship.

The Andrex offer is tempting though!
