It must be very hard for any manager to get a cohesive team when so many are short term loans!

.....can't see it being a problem if the loan signings were for a whole season.

 

However, at the start of a season, not many clubs will be willing to loan players out for an entire season.

With the 'closer ties' between us and Charlton following the deal to let their ressies play at the San Stonebridge maybe we will get one or two of their youngsters on work experience a la Onome.

It didn't really work out with Sodge last season but that doesn't mean that it couldn't work better this season.

Do you think, that as you say have these close links now with Charlton, that it would be worth approaching there sponsor,as I assume that there reserves will wear there sponsors name when playing at Stonebridge road,so why not sponsor us ?

I might be wrong... and usualy am butwe do have a shirt sponser, GLS as their contract was 'till the end of this season and we've had all the money... and now i will shut up.

No we don't have a sponsor as of yet.

 

I don't mean to be rude but why do people keep coming on here asking really obvious questions. Asking this question is the same as a Man Utd going on their message board and saying why don't Vodafone sponsor them anymore? It's not just you and perhaps I live and breath this club too much, but every day I'm reading questions like is Andy Ford still our manager and have Gravesend United and Northfleet United merged or something?

 

Like I say it's not just you and perhaps it's all part of a big wind up in which case I need serious "Whooshing" but these sort of questions are questions you expect fans to know.

Sounded a reasonable question to me. If someone wants to know something, what better place to table their question than on here, where it will be answered informatively,knowledgeabley & politely by a fellow fan, such as your goodself, in true team spirit.

I know GLS are not our shirt sponsors any more, but there was a full-page GLS advert in the programme? I thought they'd withdrawn completely from football sponsorship? Or would a page-spread advert not cost enough to worry Victor Gladwish?

Victor was at the match on Tuesday and left leaflets in the bar which showed what sponsorship is still going on.

According to Jason's notes in Tuesday's programme, he hopes to be able to make an announcement about a new sponsor in the next few days.

We got paid at the start of each season.

But was it paid at the beginning of this season though, given that Victor announced he was pulling out of shirt sponsorship some months ago?

I'm only repeating what I think i read last season when all this GLS stuff blew up, I thought he was stilling paying up till the end of this season as he was under contract.
