Why is our tea and coffee so cheap

Well I think the price of a cup of tea at the ground should be at least £1.50.

Mind you I also think that the BBC TV licence should be £400 per set per year, little green men live on Mars and that train staff are nice!!!!!

Yes Golf ruins a good walk so never watch the boring game.

Now back to the topic. According to Joe (the Italian Stallion) Teabar sells his for only 50p. However, as I do not drink Tea I can not confirm this. But even at 60p it is still to cheap but, if the price goes up will there be another revolution?

Now as for the price of they are to expensive.

I say increase the price of a cuppa and cut the cost of a

The club is still making money because the milk they buy will probably be very cheap if bought in bulk and sugar and tea is cheap anyway probably about 12p per tea bag and if all sold i think the club should make some profit but if you raise the prices by about 10p i wont mind as i still think it is a good price.

Tea is a good & fair price & I see no reason to raise the price. Raise that price & you lose sales. Yes I am a tea drinker. How about raising the cost of beer. Bet you wouldnt want that! Lets leave things as they are. Money is being made people are happy with the price & no one till now has complained. Sorry MM but I cant see why this was brought up.There has to be something more important to talk about, surely than to penny pinch on cups of tea. There must be better of ways to raise revenue in a more substantial way for the club rather than pick on the tea drinker.

The British Government had the same idea in the 1770s in Boston and look what happened there.

If this tea price idea goes through I can see the likes of Cookie dressing up in Ramsgate scarves to disguise himself and start throwing teabags, milk, and maybe Ryan and Mark onto the pitch as a protest. Then where will it end??(based on the happenings after the Boston Tea Party leading onto the American War of Independance)the fans will take it out on the bar staff and the committee and finally the directors claiming an independent club to rule itself.

History repeats itself

And all because someone suggested an increase in the price of the match day drink

I get 80 tea bags for 38p at my local supermarket which works out less than halfpence a cup so in comparison 60p per cup is ridiculously dear.

Can't believe I've been drawn in to such an inane thread so I'll give you a "tip", in future "leave" it out and stop sounding like an old "bag". Right, I'm going to turn over a new "leaf" and end our "cosy" little chat 'cos it's "boiling" outside and I'm fed up of "spout"ing off although I suspect this subject has been "brewing" for a while.

I think I need a nice cup of tea after all that.

This thread has the most replies in two days though and already over two hundred views MM so there's some vindication for it. It'll soon be a hot Kit Kat-sorry I meant hot Topic (I just can't help myself sometimes). It's no Picnic for me coming up with these awful puns but I'd be Lion if I said I didn't enjoy it and I hope it gives everyone a Boost. I'm off to hospital now to seek some help and I'm going to catch a Double Decker to get there................ ENOUGH ALREADY!!!
