I spoke to disco over cheshunt on sat and he would like to let the fans of enfield know the real truth,

 

If you have noticed this wks gazett you will notice that it says that jim didnt want david and that he only wanted the money and didnt want to play for the club.. many of you know david and he feels let down and pi**ed off at jim. he would like to thank all the town supporters but says he will see them nxt year !!

As with life...there are two sides to every story.

We may or may not hear the truth about Disco or for that matter the long list of Players who have left the Club over the summer.

Without pointing fingers, the list of Players that have decided to jump ship ( or be pushed ) is unusually high.

There must be an over-riding reason they would leave a successful team which only just failed to make the step up.

Perhaps we will all hear at the first Members chat with Jim ?

I always thought Disco gave his all for the Town on & off the pitch, a really likeable character.

So he wanted the £££'s, so what, is that so wrong?

Good luck Dave & thanks for the memories, especially the goal at Burnham & the solo effort in the 4-4 with Barkingside. Quality!

Thought he had his best season for us last time out.Question marks remained about his committment to ETFC OFF the field (but he always gave 100% on it),mainly because of the ease in which he was willing to leave the Town intermitently and switch to other clubs,before invariably finding his way back home, the season after.

Good luck Dave. Don't know about the off the field stuff but I always thought you were a great servant to Town on the field. Very Little Miss Happy still remembers her day as a mascot when she showed you how to kick with both feet at the same time!!!!!

So just what is commitment to ETFC off the field? Helping at the ground with the working parties; selling lottery tickets, selling matchday programmes?

Agreed, but sometime people cannot make events like that. It's a shame that there isn't an official forum whereby Jim could answer fans queations maybe on a weekly basis. I know that Jim is availalb after games to speak with the fans. However, some poeple need to shoot off straight after games. Just an idea!!

This doesn't sound very practical to me. Some things need to remain between employer/boss and employee, i.e. club/manager and player. I doubt if any manager would relish having to explain and justify every single action they take to the fans. A dignified silence from the manager is not inappropriate in repsonse to an outburst from an aggrieved or unsettled player.

 

Football management is not an occupation suitable for committee: ultimately Jim is accountable to the board and the fans by results and, I like to think, style of play. How he gets there is basically what he is there to decide.

Jim always has the option of not commenting on a question or comment and if he did so then I would hope that the poster would respect that and not contiue to push for an answer. After all, Jim has spoken about Dave in the press.
