Louise is truely bizzare. Did Shampoo ever support, both avid Manics fans and used to edit a fanzine.

Cannot remember who supported Carter at Hatfield Forum - Limousine possible.

Didn't see it but Genisis supported Lindisfarne in the early 70's.

Audioweb supporting the Bluetones was weird, the singer just abused the startled kids at the front.

The Manics supported Bon Jovi (also on the bill the Little Angles and Van Halen I belive). It was army fatigue time and they did not go down well with the poodle rock fans.

When I saw the Strokes in the Brixton Academy this year they had a bizarre french couple who sang in french and jumped about a lot to a sound which sounded like the demo on a casio keyboard, i thought they were ace although I never caught thier name - most of the Strokes fans hated them.

A strange Radiohead wannabe band supported Babes in Toyland as well this year, who's idea was that? the babes are pretty grungy, I've never seen a band get bottled so much

One of Bananarama used to go to my old school (loreto). I think it was Siobhan and I think I've said this before.Oh well!

Strangest support act I've ever seen was Frenzel Rhomb supporting Less Than Jake at the Astoria. I don't remember much as it was on the night I got absolutley bladdered for the first time,(on Strongbow-oh yes, I'm one classy chick!), but I do remember they were Australian and kept saying "WELL ROLL ME OVER AND CALL ME BRITNEY!!". Which was strange. <img src="/forums/images/icons/confused.gif" alt="" />

There was a human Beatbox supporting SFA at Brixton last year which was weird but cool.

The oddest one I saw was the Shibarazu Orchestra at Glasto which consisted of:

A Japanese 'Mick Jagger' style front man wearing a dressing gown

Two small oriental girls with Barbie Pink Bicycle Helmets and Pom poms

A Guy Painting himself blue and climbing up the 60ft rigging

If you think it sounds odd, you should have seen it.
