We got spanked 5-2 last night!!! they had half first team half trilists as did we.

 

2 goals blatantly offside, but they well deserved to beat us but should have been a closer scoreline!

 

played on their back pitch, absolute disgrace!

 

to top it off, i played first 45, then had to rush back on with 20 to go, and am now out for around 2 months!!! fecking great!!! so bob is not in a good mood today! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" />

exactly, the mighty big time brook come to entertain yeading and they shove us on the back pitch!!!

 

basically came onto the pitch without warming up again, 2 mins later knocked a ball and popped my groin, heard it pop, my whole quad and groin is fecked!out for a while, in agony! absolutely gutted, was feeling really fit too!

 

looks like tubs may be back for a while!

You know how WWay must have felt Sunday morning? That is me now. Were truly embarrassing for 35 minutes with the so called better side having no heart. We were ok for first 10, then got bullied for 10 then gave up for next 25. 2nd half was much better some of the youngsters did very well.

 

Gosport were a very good side, were strong, moved the ball well and took their chances. Some strange decisions from the officials didnt help but we were outplayed by a long way.

cheers fellas, absolutely gutted, i was so lookin forward to the season too!!! well p****D off at the management for rushing me on, they of all people know i am prone to picking up injuries!!!

Don't worry too much paul, they are a quality side. And on a wage bill of around £3,000 a week no clubs at our level would really be able to compete. Oh for even a tenth of their wage bill i'd walk miles!!!

They were different class Gaffer.

 

Strong, moved the ball well, had that nasty edge to them. They didnt give you time on the ball and made you pay when you gave the ball away. Not sure if you can bet on Vase winners but my money would go on them for that and the Wessex League.

Yeah exactly how I remember them. Funnily enough we played AFC Totten in the Vase last season, they are in the same div as Gosport, and we lost 3-1 to them but they weren't that good. AFC Totten then went on to finish above Gosport in the Wessex League, very strange

I never been so embarassed in my life, all players including myself in the 1st half should be ashamed of ourselfs! They where the best team i have played at this level! Had good, fit, strong players all around the park! We lost 9-0!

The set up is very good. Pitch was superb, had about 40 players there, the ones that didnt play trained out the back. Looks a very well run club. Pasta after the game. Decent support, must have been 100+ there.
