Disipline

I would be inclined to say both. The referee was very good, although three of us were talking to him as he warmed up!!! sneaky!!! We were very disiplined in the way we played, we didnt need to go in recklessly and all tackles were timed perfectly. A very good performance and the lack of cards is indeed a good bonus.

I can tell you that although the referee was not to bad on Saturday we have him a hell of a lot at Manor Park, and I can safely say he is without doubt the worse referee we have. He got promoted to Conference the same time as us. We thought we had got rid of him. I was amazed he only booked one on Saturday. Totally unlike him.

As for bookings generally. I honestly think a teams poor record is as much down to the opposition as anything else. Nuneaton dont kick there was to victory (or more often defeat), so opposition dont try and get even, or retaliate. I bet if stats were available, the total number of bookings and sending off's against Boro this season would be the lowest in the league.

I sometime wish Boro would get "stuck-in" more. Most of out bookings have been for lip.

Now that you have all said such nice things about the referee (Mr Woolmer) should I point out that this is the second time he has officiated at one of our matches, the first one being away to Yeovil.

EXACTLY WHY HE ASKED US IF WE WERE THERE AND TOLD US ABOUT THE GAME AND STUFF. HE WAS A GENUINE NICE GUY, AND WE WERENT AT YEOVIL SO DON’T KNOW HOW GOOD HE WAS THERE, BUT HE WAS GOOD YESTERDAY. I SPOSE IT’S THE SAME AS FOOTBALLERS, THEY ALL HAVE BAD DAYS AND DIFFERENT TEAMS SEE REFS AT DIFFERENT MATCHES AT DIFFERENT TIMES.

Apart from getting the Sturgess red card completly wrong, I thought he was OK at Yeovil.

.....and missing a handball from the player allegedly fouled.

Oh, and the foul on Jackson just before the ball went up the other end for the Sturgess red card.

I must admit I feared the worst when I saw that ref on Saturday.

Whilst he wasn't as bad as before, he still got a lot of decisions wrong still though.....

So you think my money is safe then?

Dave, you 'dodge' tax for a living - well, you know what I mean . I doubt very much you'd be betting money if it wasn't as safe as six points against Margate...

Another £58 million of public money and I still think the answer will be no.
