No, Southend is a £ucking hole and I hate living here, but I haven't got a choice. I'd much rather be on Canvey. However, if it's a choice between Southend and Basildon, I'd choose Southend.

Southend is nearer Canvey and the public transport is decent between the two. I have to live in and around Southend for work, but if I could drive I'd be nowhere near the place, believe me.

Oh and just to point out (though I do think it's laughable) to quote the Southend Yellow Advertiser from last week...

 

"Southend is officially the safest place to live in the UK, according to a Home Office survey of major towns and cities."

 

Not that I believe a word of that.

going back on the sitiuation what if jeff king stayed could it have been possible to stay in the conference despite low crowds & as for the st albans fan post i think its a silly thing to do to move towns i mean look at wimbledon why did the board decide to take the club the milton keynes while the club is or was based in london i mean do you know any wimbledon fans that travel to milton keynes from london to watch the franchise play because i wont want to watch canvey anymore if we moved to say example dagenham & be called dagenham gulls it would have been the people of dagenham to watch that team not canvey fans that live on the island & their is only one dons team & that is AFC Wimbledon
