Questions about your level

Recommended Posts

Been a while since I've been familar with your level but I have some questions?

1. What brand of crisp do the players get paid in these days, in my day it was always Walkers and the better players got McCoys but there are a wealth of different brands now such as sensations and branaggans?

2. Who will be more of a threat to you this season, the dog and duck or the rose and crown?

3. What will you be doing with that bit of the car park reserved for away fans supporters coaches?

Ta!

1. We boycotted Walkers due to the fact that they brand Cheese & Onion in a blue bag. Everyone knows that Salt & Vinegar is blue, Cheese & Onion should be green. Doritos this season with dip as a goal bonus.

2. Dog & Duck are always tricky, that Dog certainly knows how to hold a lead (or is that the other way around?)

3. We have turned that into an allotment, from where we will sell genetically modified vegetables at a low, low price.

Hope that helps

Do we really have to take stick from someone who is a professed (or should that be confessed) MK Dons supporter.

The Voice, you should be ashamed of yourself!

Perhaps he could get ideas for what to do with our away parking by looking at what Wimbl...sorry MK Dons do with their home seating?

What's wrong with MK Dons, they had no ground or support so it made sense to up and leave.

Jeff should of done the same with Canvey, taken it out of Canvey and took it to a big town with no successful team, I'm thinking Guildford or somewhere like that!

It's no different to you lot deciding you want to up and leave the conference and buggering off to Ryman Div 1, you should of been made to stay in the conference and suffered relegation like everyone else would have to of done!

I agree, we should have stayed in the Conference, but I think you're well off the mark in saying that we should have moved towns.

The furthest we could possibly go is Pitsea or Basildon (but frankly I don't want to get stabbed on my way to watch the Mighty Gulls), certainly not another county.

We're not run by the Wimbledon board with whack ideas like shifting towns and having the rest of the country resent any progress we may make for the rest of eternity.

EFM The Firm, The Voice

I have read your post a few times and considered your view and reflected on your comments.

Having done that I have come to the only possible logical conclusion, you are a mug!!

Don't be stupid, if we'd stayed in the Conference, we would've gone bankrupt!!

I know, but I was ignoring that.

The people of Milton Keynes should have shunned Wimbledon and instead created their own league team, had they really wanted it. Obviously they didn't and would rather just jump on the coat-tails of Wimbledon, taking the biggest short-cut possible.

Never mind going bankrupt, it wouldve been criminal sending the kids we saw out there today to play at Conference level, they need time to adjust and grow in confidence. I think we will do well this season, but i came away today feeling happier that we turned down a place in the Ryman Premier.

Sorry Ribbit but have you been following what is going on with Crawley? Because they foolishly decided to carry on in the Conference without the sufficient financial backing and they now face the prospect of folding.

This is because when they had the chance to do something about it, they foolishly thought they could battle on. I dont think they ever came out and said it but to save themselves, voluntary relegation was probably an option. But they carried on thinking they could survive and get the money somehow and survive in the Conference. A few months down the line realised they couldn't. So now the board face a vote and if it goes against them, there is no more Crawley Town FC. End of.

So if we had carried on without financial backing like Crawley, it would have been the same thing for us. We would have carried on struggling and then had to fold the club and hopefully come back further down than we are now without a penny to our names and probably without Park Lane.

So i dont know how you can say we SHOULD have stayed in the Conference with facts like that. I would have LIKED to stay in the Conference but i would much rather have my club alive and still be able to watch my team than to have to watch them fold and have to start following one of these northern teams or even worse...Grays or Hornchurch!

Rubbish, you tonked everybody on the way up to the conference by playing another ball game and spending so much cash, you should give everyone a chnace to do the same to you as you plummet back through the leagues.

No other team has just been able to up and releagate themselves because the going might be a little tougher, plenty of conference teams survived on lower gates than you and you were debtless after Jeff wrote them all off.

Yeah of course you are right, Southend is such a lovely peaceful place to live isn't it? I am sure you must meet so many nice, friendly, kind people down by the seafront on a Friday and Saturday night as well, out for a stroll just taking in the wonderful sea air too eh?
