I cant help but draw comparisons with 1989 when Leeds signed Vinny Jones, ( 'a hod carrier who couldnt trap a bag of cement ' according to the intelligencia who write for 'The Sun').

 

In the season that followed Jones got just 2 yellow cards and no red cards, and Leeds won the old first division. He played over 40 games in a midfield with Batty, Strachan, Speed, and McCallister.

 

Just shows you the influence a good manager can have on a player and playing with new better players.

SR1, I think you've got it badly wrong.

 

Signing players from teams that have gone down is part of the game at all levels and if a manager thinks they are good enough that's down to their judgement, not supporters.

 

As far as the swearing and baiting of Slough fans, I think you'll find that he gave as good as he got. The only exception to this is the personal unprovoked attack on Emma for which hopefully a personal appology will be sufficient.

 

As far as hitting Slough players, again, opposing players/managers know the players who are easily wound up and Jarvis is one of those players. But

again Eddie knows this and if he lets him down he won't last long at the club.

 

Like most other supporters I am not happy with Jarvis playing for us but I am willing to draw a line and hope that he proves us all wrong.

 

I think if you were a true supporter you would support the club and not one player who you think shouldn't be playing for us because of his past history.
